The Hosts
Our podcast was created when Jayne texted Kalena about potentially starting a blog. Kalena said, "that's a great idea, why don't we make a podcast?" What may have started as a joking conversation led to an incredibly fun and rewarding podcast, and we are so excited to share with you our ideas about the unspoken ins and outs of the ballet world and talk with some amazing guests.
Kalena Tano
Born in San Diego, Kalena grew up dancing with Southern California Ballet, where she is now an instructor. She currently studies Business Administration at Palomar College and dances as an Apprentice with City Ballet of San Diego. On the weekends, she likes to surf, take naps, and shake her Leo mane in the wind.
Jayne Friscia
Jayne is a student at the University of California, Irvine where she studies Dance and Management. Jayne grew up in San Diego and danced with City Ballet of San Diego prior to pusuing her education. She is also the other half of On the Other Foot, and a Saggitarius who is unsure of how to finish this bio.
